Creepy yet Pretty
Kiss good bye to Barbie and say Hello to Mooqla.
If you don't know Mooqla dolls, you're about to be introduced to a series of exotically featured handmade silicone encased plastic dolls clad in the hippest of fashions. They make even Couture Barbie look like some serious *poor white trash. With delicate features and an almost pensive, sometimes sullen look, they are simultaneously beautiful and macabre.

Zen Shorts & Zen Ties (by Jon J Muth)
Zen Shorts and Zen Ties are two beautifully illustrated books for children. The main character of each of the books is a kindhearted panda named Stillwater. The author artfully provides a narrative that enables a reader to think from a different perspective and, more importantly, to actively question and think about the choices we make and the world in which we live.
Zen Shorts
"Michael," said Karl. "There's a really big bear in the backyard." This is how three children meet Stillwater, a giant panda who moves into the neighborhood and tells amazing tales. To Addie he tells a story about the value of material goods. To Michael he pushes the boundaries of good and bad. And to Karl he demonstrates what it means to hold on to frustration. With graceful art and simple stories that are filled with love and enlightenment.
Summer has arrived - and so has Koo, Stillwater's haiku-speaking young nephew. And when Stillwater encourages Koo, and his friends Addy, Michael, and Karl to help a grouchy old neighbor in need, their efforts are rewarded in unexpected ways. "Zen Ties" is a disarming story of compassion and friendship that reaffirms the importance of our ties to one another.

Audrey, Ip and Mr. Famous
Posting about Audrey Hepburn as a fashion icon is a bit obvious, but nonetheless true. But when I ran across this collection of photos by Bob Willoughby featuring Audrey and her beloved pets Ip, and Mr. Famous, I thought that this could be interesting.
Cheers,

Post me your Secret...
PostSecret is an ongoing community art project, created by Frank Warren where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a postcard. The idea is that people identify with others' secrets and in turn, feel more comfortable sharing their own.
It makes you slow down just a bit when you wonder if you've been responsible for someone's pain, if you've been the secret longing of someone who never had enough courage to speak up. I think everyone will be able to relate to something inside this blog.
